I've got a batch of pattern ideas in my head and I can't wait to get them all out.
It might be a while before I can show them to you, but I thought I'd give you a little peek into what my days have been like lately--pattern testing.

The majority of the fabric I'm using for this one comes from Sarah Jane's "Children at Play" collection. There's also a Timeless Treasures' word print (I forget what it's called, it's been ages since I bought it). I love the newspaper-y sort of look it adds to the mix. I sure wish I had hoarded these fabrics when I had the chance, I heart them so.
I'll just say that I'm sewing a lot of diagonal lines with this one. I was feeling too lazy to mark the diagonal lines and thought I'd try Camille's frog tape trick to help speed up the process. Works like a charm.

Also, lots of chain-piecing and assembly line behavior going on.

I bought this cute little airplane at Hobby Lobby and I think it is going to be perfect in Lorenzo's room. And it was on sale. Woohoo.
I really want an All-American 1950's sort of room for him and I think the quilt and airplane will be a great start. I really really look forward to the hopefully-not-distant day when we will be homeowners and I can really go nuts with the decorating.

Until that day, I'll hoard all the treasures to go in it.
More about all of this later. Happy Halloweek!
